American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF) Board Member,
Ric Sweeney, has been awarded the 2007 Harold J. Grilliot Award
Ric Sweeney has been awarded the 2007 Harold J. Grilliot Award for Exemplary Service to Undergraduate Organizations, an award presented annually by the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business. This award was presented at the Faculty awards dinner on May 23, 2007 in recognition of Sweeney’s commitment to the revitalization of the UC Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
In presenting the award, Senior Associate Dean Bill Whitaker remarked “Thanks to Ric Sweeney, the UC Chapter of the American Marketing Association has been revitalized with an active group of students who are developing networking and professional skills that will serve then well after they graduate from UC.”
The Grilliot Award is given each year to a College of Business faculty member who has performed extraordinary service to students and student organizations and has advanced good relations between students and faculty. The award was established in the memory of Harold Grilliot and serves to highlight the importance of service to students at the University of Cincinnati.
Ric Sweeney is on the Marketing Faculty at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati Ohio, and is the Academic Director for the Masters of Science in Marketing program at UC. Ric is also the Director of Strategic Marketing for the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business and the faculty advisor for UC’s AMA Collegiate Chapter. Ric is the Past-President of the Cincinnati Chapter of the AMA, serving as President in 2001-02 during which his chapter was awarded with “Signature Chapter” status. Ric has served for five years on the AMA’s Professional Chapters Council and served as PCC President in 2005-2006. Along with serving on the American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF) board, he also served as a member of the AMA’s Finance Committee, Governance Sub Committee.
